On the Association
The Association of Japanese and Russian Universities is an organization of Japanese and Russian Universities aiming at expanding academic and scientific cooperation and advancing programs of academic mobility between universities of the both counties.
The statement about establishing the Association of Russian and Japanese Universities was declared at the Meeting of the Presidents of the Russian and Japanese Universities held in October 2016.
Within the framework of the Summit between the Presidents of The Russian Federation and Japan in December 2016 a Memorandum of Understanding on Establishing the Association of Russian and Japanese Universities was signed which institutionalized the above-mentioned Association.
At that moment 21 Russian Universities and 21 Japanese Universities became Members of the Association (totally 42 Universities from the both sides).
